My name is Chris. I am a web developer from San Diego, CA. I play clawhammer and stroke style. I enjoy eating, drinking beer and riding my bike when not playing the banjo. I also dabble in concertina/accordion toonies.

Thanks Chris...it looks good! Regards Paul
I recently read from an excerpt from a San Diego magazine or Newspaper that the gourds you buy come to you via the Mail and green with mold. Here’s a link to a Farm near Temecula. I haven’t been there yet. They may be a good source for gourds.
Opps! Here’s the link. https://welburngourdfarm.com/collections/gourds-by-shape/products/clean-canteen-gourds
I've gotten a bunch from that place. Most farms charge less for uncleaned gourds and I'm okay with the elbow grease. I usually dunk them under water for a day or so and it usually scrubs off easily.
I’m seriously thinking about making a Gourd Banjo. I have a Barry Sholder banjo. Do you treat the inside of your gourds? You soak your gourds in water???
