Minstrel Banjo

For enthusiasts of early banjo

I've recently began going thru Briggs book again and noticed. I don't think I've seen anyone do that in any of the tutors. I do recall reading or hearing in a video that Frank Converse wrote the Briggs book or helped or something. This might kinda hint at that or Mr. Briggs *really* wanted us to know they were his.

"Brigg's Favorite Jig" is what W. K. Batchelder called the tune usually known as "The Power of Music" when he published a version of it in 1855.

I guess publishers thought the name sold.

Briggs was dead (d. 1854) and the book is somewhat of a "tribute".

Dang never knew he died before it's publication
