Minstrel Banjo

For enthusiasts of early banjo

That was a great collection you had to share at AEBG V. Put me down for one....I'm not sure how you are collecting for it, but let me know. This is the new "fake book" for our genre.

And don't forget to work on the "large print" edition...lol.

I haven't had much time to spend with mine yet (advance copy, signed by the authors!), but it's a great collection of the songs we encounter in all of the various tutors and songbooks.  The chords are great for accompaniment, and I'm thinking that the simplified melodies are going to be good for developing my lousy music reading skills.  Having the lyrics right with the music sure beats digging around places like Mudcat.org too!

Where.....?

We printed some pre-release copies for the conference. If we get enough orders we'll print a few more. However, we really want to go for our first official release. If you are interested in a prerelease copy, you can email us at tincremona.Comcast.net.

My copy got a preliminary workout while in Vermont where it rained every day... I had the small group I was with singing out of the songbook, and we might have kept a few people awake...  Great fun!  Great book!  Thanks John and Elaine!

I'll wait until you release it...standing by.
