This is enlightening (and awful).  Shows the vast majority of African slaves that were sailed into Brazil and the Caribbean and how only a small percentage of slaveships actually arrived directly to North America.  Pause the map and click on one of the more than 20,000 'dots' (voyages) and it tells you specifically about that ship and its human cargo.

wow the interactive map itself is pretty amazing, such a good way to present vast amounts of data.
