Interesting and disturbing indeed. Personnally, it makes me very glad I retired as a teacher this year. Of course, the adminsrators knew prefectly well that I spend weekends as an infantry Colonel in the Confederate army, and I never heard a negative word, but this does give one pause.

Yes it is... so very sad. Im just learning about it myself (from yall!) and I wonder... has there been much discussion here about the best ways to present the music of the era without pushing any buttons??
