I like the way you combine Foster's original melody with the better known ( in this day and age) version. the best of both worlds.

Thank you so much Friends! I am a new member and only just beginning my journey to learn Minstrel Banjo. Jim Hartel is making my first instrument now; "The Sweeney Banjo." So, apologies for posting a recording of wire strings. In the near future I will re-record this song playing my Sweeney Banjo Stroke Style.
