Why has this eluded Hollywood? It could be done so well.

That is a neat article. I didn't know the circumstances surrounding his death.

Tim - and also not so well, for example "Swanee River" 1939....
Well, rather than await Hollywood, maybe we should put together a program, "Life and times of Stephen Foster".
PowerPoint, etc, his songs reflecting what was going on In his life and America, etc. I mentioned the possibility once but i never went further with it. I would think libraries/historical societies might be plausible venues.

I may have seen part of this. Is there a scene where he sells a tune to Christy back stage for a small sum?
