Minstrel Banjo

For enthusiasts of early banjo

There's more than a touch of minstrelsy here. Obvious how its influence transitioned into vaudeville, and even into the early days of television. The way that Jack Benny could take such weak, even cornpone, material and create such humor from it illustrates his comedic genius, IMHO. Enjoy. Jack puts on a hillbilly show. Classic cornfield comedy. His fiddle playing is not that bad. Rocky Mountain Boys

Pretty funny. There's more than a touch of Spike Jone & His City Slickers in there, too!
