This video and text probably won't provide much new or interesting to members of this site, but we never know just what important tidbit we might stumble across. Anyway, it is definitely worth sharing with acquaintances who might be interested in what we are so passionate about, and it would likely enhance their knowledge on the subject in general.

Hi Bryant,
Welcome to what is (for me anyway) the most entertaining online forum I've ever run across. Great pictures, videos, discussions. If you like this sort of thing, you'll definitely find this to be the sort of thing you like!
Bryant,
Thanks for the welcome to Minstrel Banjo. I live in southeast Pennsylvania, (Tamaqua) and have been playing clawhammer style banjo for about a year and enjoy singing. Have worked out a handful of songs; Hard Times, Old Joe Clark, Southern Soldier, Oh Susanna, etc. Would love to play Civil War era minstrel style with some period minded folks at reenactment events. Don't know any one right near where I live. Gettysburg is ~2 hours west. Know anybody up this way?
Look forward to learning more about minstrel banjo.
Thanks again.
Marc
