Minstrel Banjo

For enthusiasts of early banjo

I've only learned to read music in the last several, but over the years I've bought music books with the thought that one day I would learn. I pulled one off the shelf today that I believe I bought in Boston about 1974, the Langey-Carl Fischer Banjo Tutor. It was a reissue in 1959 of an earlier book, internet sources say 1890. Any body know anything about this one? It's has a lot of the old tunes with a few classical pieces thrown in as well.

Yes, great little tutor, it is what I used to learn to read.

It is almost the same as the "Eclipse Self Instructor etc" on my website.  There are a few less pieces but it is just about the same.

Thanks Joel, I noticed the price sticker is still in the front, I paid  22¢ for it.
