Has anybody posted (or know of) any clips of minstrel banjo and fiddle playing together. I have not been on the forum much lately and may have missed it if it has alraedy been posted, but I was just curious as to how they sound together or what tunes do we have that have parts for both.
EDIT: I should noted that I have found like 1 or 2 clips on Youtube, but I thought other folks might know about some others...

Hi Genford - Don't know if this is a good example, but in the interest of self-promotion, I offer http://minstrelbanjo.ning.com/video/essence-of-old-virginny-green-corn
Hello Genford
Check out Bob Flesher's DVD

Hi Genford
I forgot that there is also a free audio sample of Coon Hunt Walk Around / Bee Gum Reel

I strongly reccomend buying Instructional Material, CDs and the DVD from Bob Flesher. He is in my opinion the very best Minstrel Banjo player living today

Nice job Paul

Glad Paul "self-promoted" his clip! If he didn't I was going to, great stuff! :) There are also several Camptown Shakers clips floating round the interwebs - banjo, fiddle, tambo ensemble. Here's one Dave posted on this site: http://minstrelbanjo.ning.com/video/walk-along-johnavi
Best,

Thanks for all those great clips and links. I recently took up the fiddle and am trying to use my banjo education and fiddle education to supplment each other. So,this helps a lot.
Here's a link to a video we did in Harpers Ferry last year that includes multiple violins, bones, banjo, guitar, and a dancer doing several period pieces as a medley: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=njAy2TjD1ts
