Building an Ashborn replica
So, An Ashborn replica is on my building horizon and i need lots of input into the construction. Any and all suggestions would be welcomed and as a starter i have these: the neck material? Is there an added fingerboard? The pots i saw this weekend appear to be maple. Were these veneered as well?? I will start my study of ashborns on the sightings database and with the photos i took this weekend but wanted to get this thread going asap to start the ball rolling. Bring it on folks!!

They are remarkable instruments, aren't they? (Both the originals and Jim Hartel's reproductions!) I'll be following your progress with interest.
