Minstrel Banjo

For enthusiasts of early banjo

This was printed in the Waterloo Daily Currier, Waterloo, Iowa on March 7, 1963.

Tim, you've been into this genre much longer than you have been portraying!

Supposedly, you were born in '57.  How old are you, really?!?

I thought only vampires could do this...

You said it, not me!

How do you find this stuff???

I just started a 30-day trial to  http://newspaperarchive.com/   which I think will lead to my purchase of a year's subscription for $79.  I was using my name to learn how to search and I found something that Tim & I did together and then I did a search for "Tim Twiss".  Eventually, I started doing genealogical research and found interesting stuff and have spent hours ruining my eyes with the computer screen ever since.

Looks like a great resource

It might be better for me, personally, than some others.  For whatever reason, there are dozens of historic newspapers included for Fort Wayne, Ind, where most all of my ancestors were by mid-19 C, but when I looked for non-genealogical related topics, I didn't find it to be the case in other parts of the country.  No newspapers for Wheeling, for example.

too funny
