Minstrel Banjo

For enthusiasts of early banjo

Hi Folks,  I have officially started offering my new aluminum banjo thimbles through my website.  They are the same price as the classic brass.

I have become partial to the aluminum as they are so light I hardly know I am wearing it but I still get all the solid tone and volume I need.

Please take a look.

Thanks,

Below is an historical ad from the early 1920s.  Banjo thimbles continued to be sold through the 1930s-- perfect for achieving that old time tone heard on old recordings too!  This ad is from Wurlitzer.  Sorry I doubt that price is valid (you could try to contact Wurlitzer and get one from them).

As a former 1960s Wurlitzer employee---good luck on that. BUT, as of 1996, Gibson Guitar acquired what was left of Wurlitzer (through Baldwin) so maybe they will "price-match".
