"Dere He Goes, Dat's Him" and "United States it Am the Place"
Where are these 2 found in the old books?
Also, if anyone has TABS for these two, i'd really appreciate it.
Thanks!

Dere He Goes in in the Emmett stuff, found in the Hans Nathan book. United States is in Rice.
I believe "United States it Am de Place" is in Rice's 1858 Method for the Banjo. I google it the other day (looking to play this tune on the fiddle) and had no luck. Guess one needs the book!
How many of the emmett tunes are in that book? I've been oogling it on amazon for a while but not too sure what is in there so I have hesitated to pull trigger. I love all the emmett tunes you have on your playlist.

There are over 60 pieces in the book. Not all "Emmett"....but there by association at least.
Is the Nathan book online for free anywhere, or does one have to buy the book?
D'oh.
OK well I have the Rice, with Rice's 'tab' arrangement.
After doing some internet search, I'm a bit confused-
The Hans Nathan has a bunch of tunes in it from Emmett's older book "Negro Minstrelsy" (among them Dar He Goes)...but is Emmett's complete book available in reproduction or online anywhere?
Is there another source for Dar He Goes, Dat's Him...? Either in sheet music or as a banjo tab?
Thanks
Almost never find that book cheap. Too bad.
I never knew about Emmetts book..just Nathan's
The United States it Am de Place" is in Rice's tutor, I think Tim has digital copy on his website. Here's the other.
