Minstrel Banjo

For enthusiasts of early banjo

I agree, this is fun to explore these. How about one more in Briggs to keep the pull going? Either Briggs' Jig or Briggs' Breakdown? These are both AEBG favorites btw. It could be either or. What do you think? You get that crazy triplet figure wih Breakdown, but lots of pulls and a chance to look at that long descending figure and talk about that.

Right now the Breakdown is falling into place more quickly then the Jig, but either one would be good. If we're voting, I would go for the Breakdown.

The breakdown is less played. Might be enlightening and fun.

Let's go for the breakdown then.

Anybody need music?

I'm set with the original (reprint) and the Weidlich and Flesher tab versions.

Here is some tab to it. I assume we all got the original. If not go here:

These are 3 versions....one is unfingered, the other has the original Briggs fingering, and the other substitutes the Rice pull

Its already in the practice rotation, lets go!

Lots of versions already stored on the site if you search in videos.

Hope for some fresh ones.

Looks like we wrapped this one up pretty tight. Ready for more?

I wish there had been a little more discussion, but sure, lets move on.
