All this has reminded me that I have a home-digitized copy of Winner's 1864 guitar tutor.  No editing, no tab, just the otiginal in inconvenient-for-printing landscape layout, but if anyone is interested I'll be happy to send it along.  It's somewhere in the backup files of a former computer, but it shouldn't take too long to find.  Let me know.

A reprint is available from a source in the UK. I just got one, courtesy of Tims's reference. Its been so long since I've read tab, I;m just as happy with the stawndard notation. I can dig out the source if anyone is interested.

Hi, Dan'l and all. 

Here it is, Winner's New Primer, in 3 sections:  1. Music rudiments, 2. guitar solos, and 3. song settings.  I'll be interested if there are congruencies with the banjo book, as that seems to have been Septimus' M.O.
