Minstrel Banjo

For enthusiasts of early banjo

I'm taking my daughter to Wilderness in a few weeks and then Cedar Creek in October.

Just Curious,

I doubt it, since I will be aty both Widerness and Cedar Creek. There are only so many long trips in the budget. Maybe next year.

I have already participated in the 1st. engagement in what was then the Indian Nations at Round Mountain, and will be participating at several more this year.  Pilot Knob Missouri is another and Westville Ka.

Okay, I mis read you. I'll be reenacting at Wilderness and Cedar Creek, our living history demonstration at Gettysburg, and every event locally in New England.

Cool.  I'll be with 11th North Carolina at Wilderness as a civilian.  Are you bringing your banjo?

Planning on it. I'm in command of the 6th Regiment ANV, so I don't know how much time I'll have to play.

Ah, a high ranking officer! My compliments Sir.  I am naught but a humble private soldier, too long in the tooth  to do anything more than plunk, knit and prepare evening Hors d'oeuvres.

I'll be at Pickett's Mill the weekend after Memorial Day.  Haven't decided if I'll bring a banjo or not.  Being a campaign immersion event, a banjo would be a superfluous item.  My banjo might make the flight to Georgia, but certainly won't be on me when we go live.
