Minstrel Banjo

Bought this one about a month ago to fix up and here it is.  Not sure about the wood, etc.  You can probably tell better than me.  As I understand this one was a student model in a school for a while--that's all I know.  

It plays well and sounds fine.  It has a frailing scoop and could use a higher bridge IMHO.  

Currently strung with Nylguts.  Nice brass hardware.  More pics available if you would like and I could probably even do a video if you'd like that.

This one looks like my Eric Prust banjo. Only mine is a tack head. If it is indeed a Prust. Then it most likely will be build with a Oak pot and Oak neck.   

That would be my best guess... since it looks almost like mine...
