Hi to John, Tim and all on Minstrel NING,

I have not been over from Classic-Banjo.ning to visit your site for a while so I hope that you don’t mind popping in with a video?

It is a “sort of” minstrel era, but bought up to date by a few years.

George Gershin wrote “Swanee” in 1919 and it was a tongue in cheek composition based on the Stephen Foster’s 1851 “Old Folks at Home” (also known as Swanee River).

I hope that you enjoy it, as I enjoyed playing it.

...  if not get, John to NUKE it.

;-)

Ian, thereallyniceman

I enjoyed that!  Believe it or not, when I was 12, I asked for, and got an Al Jolson record for Christmas!
