That vegetable on a stick sounds pretty good!

Now, if you just had a "tub" to play on you could make acceptable music.

Okay, where did this song come from?

It's just some of the the lyrics of the 1830's superhot hit Jump JIm Crow with a new title.

So is it the warm southern clime that has you playing tunes/song in that relaxing tempo? Whatever it is, I always like it. Maybe it's 'cause I'm in the midst of aging or something but, personally, I find music most enjoyable when I feel some degree of coinciding relaxation. I'm not even sure I could play for contra dances anymore!

I'm feelin' it too.  Brian and I love to play in a variety of tempos- some peppy and some lilting...but we so often find the easy loping tunes to be the ones we really kick back and relish.   :)  I'm pretty sure it's not the warm weather causing that where i am.   =8-*

They get a chance to really dig in and wrap themselves around your soul somehow.

I always thought that he was just too lazy to play any faster.

Sometimes it requires effort to play at a leisurely pace, but the listening is easier.

I listened to Tim's videos from yesterday. It's embarrassing to advocate slower tempos in an earlier posting and then realize that I'm the one that's always pushing on the excelorator! I've found that when I'm uncomfortable or lack confidence, I rush to get it over with!

It's an illusion. When you play too slow, it actually, it actually comes out just right.
