Kind of choppy version of "Jim Along Josie". Played on banjo, made from a Bell and Son kit. You can hear my distraction at the end and finally my son's squeeking :) I was inspired and had to get another video up!

That's awesome..I love your back up singers! Nice go at "Jim Along Josie". Nice crisp sound on the Banjo too!
Love your son's opinion from the Peanut Gallery at the end...everyone's a critic! ;D
I hope to be able to do as well as you are sometime soon.
Great sounding banjo! I loved seeing your photos of making this banjo.
Thanks for the feedback everyone! My son is my loyal, lone audience member for many an hour, like it or not. haha!
You've got a singer there!! Nice playin', Matt, really. Some guys have naturally great sounding fingertips. True.
Hey Matthew, I just found a cool youtube vid of a bunch of little kids really gettin into Jim Along Josie as evolved into a modern children's 'activity song'. I bet you son would like this version too!:
I can't quite make out all the lyrics but it'd be great to play that version for your kids maybe... :)
Thanks Strumelia! I haven't watched this video in a while! Makes me feel my playing now is outstanding in comparison, especially with that song in particular. It's still a favorite in the house with me, my wife and little Ben. Can't wait to get a tambo someday, for someone to grab and play when the mood strikes :)
I used to leave this for my subs when they were not comfortable teaching music. http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xnbdf3_kidsongs-jim-along-josie_mu...
Zoinks-that's high energy!
Valerie, that's a bit scary! lol!! =8-o
Imagine that guy in the striped sports jacket going to a Civil War re-enactment... lololol
Oh, this is more than a bit scary!
That being said, Matthew, nice sound!
