Nice accompaniment!  No "ordinary" person would come up with those chords, so you must be "extraordinary"!

I don't think so Al..ha ha. I did stretch the harmony a bit for 19th Century ears, but so be it. It's enjoyable to make it your own....as you hear it. Music can do so many things.

I agree with your background interest.  Years ago, I used to just learn good tunes, but they are somewhat meaningless to me, these days, unless I have some idea of the context.  I like at least being able to attach a date range in which it existed.

Yes....takeaway on this one is the date of 1849 and that Clutha is Gaelic for Clyde, and it names a River. Also gives the composer, but that slips away from me.

That's funny.  The composer's name has already slipped away from me but the other facts haven't.
