NICE nail glides, dude. If you can play Circus Jig, you can play anything. Difficult because it's simple. Nice tone, Matt ... clear and strong.

Hey you are doing a great job on that.  I have such trouble getting those even sounding rolls across the strings.

Thanks everyone!  I have to stop watching the vid, I just get critical of my flaws haha!  For the rolls, I "push" through them, literally adding a tad more preasure downward, towards the strings, as my hand moves across them.  I trimmed my nails short by habit and thought all was ost as far as getting good sound from my banjo, luckily I was wrong and I think it took me into a stronger way of playing.

Thanks for the great tip on rolls doing downward pressure....I'll try it!

I've taken to clipping my nails all the down over the past 2 years and I just love the texture and the sound I get in my clawhammer playing with just bare fingers.  I feel the same as you- made my playing better.
