I'm sure there are several excellent gourd banjo makers here who could make something very similar for you.  For example, here are a couple gourds made by Jeff Menzies:

Perhaps others will make more recommendations!   :)

Tell us what exactly it is about that particular (Ross?) banjo that you are wanting for your own gourd banjo.

oh , I dont want to buy one, I want to make one. I just am attracted to the seemingly simplicity ,  not saying Jeff or others could not make a much better instrument than I could,,,, but once you build a couple banjos , I think your hooked and only want to play your own builds even if they are "inferior"

Ok i get it now.  Looks like a fun thing to build!

It's a four string, that's why it's got such a thin neck- based on African akontings i believe.  I assume you have seen akontings.   But looks like it has a slightly flattened fingerboard in front for easier playing...?

With 4 strings, you'd need to figure out how you want to tune it and what style you want to play it- minstrel style, akonting style music, improvised personal stuff...   :)

Yes the Pete Ross & The Didlake 2.5 stringer are interesting.  Clarke plays a 2.5 on Hyatts gourd banjo site. Just neat diversions
