Minstrel Banjo

For enthusiasts of early banjo

Not sure if John Mascialle is famous in a gif. http://timesfreepress.com/news/2013/sep/23/civil-war-re-enactment-7...

Just had to post it John!  If you hadn't seen it yet! :)

Such a strange thing.  I'm singing away. My foot is tapping.  The compass on my watch chain is bouncing around.  Yet, my hands are completely frozen.  I assure you I was playing at the time.  It is a strange pic.

BTW, thanks for posting this Matthew.

Those are fairly bizarre. The one of John reminds me of "Huckleberry Hound" era animation, when nothing moved unless it absolutely had to. That said, you'd think they might have STARTED with the hands!

.....And if the Confederates actually had cannons like that, they may have won the war!

Yeah, I wasn't sure if this was something to be proud of or a big head scratcher for how goofy the movements are!  Saw the Mrs. in one as well!  Maybe the gif. creator couldn't get the period-correct stroke movement on the hand ;)

John, I think your hands are moving so fast we can't see them !!

The wool spinning lady reminds me of the Apple store berserk lady:

" I was told by Apple Care, that I could walk in the store and GET THE PARTS !! "   lol

"I was told by the General Store that I could spin this wheel and MAKE SOME SOCKS!"

Tim-  lol!

BTW...thanks for the translation. I could not understand her.

I totally forgot about the Apple Store lady!  hahaha!
