Minstrel Banjo

For enthusiasts of early banjo

In my searches for original Accordeon documentation/music I came across this offering on Alibris. Even though it is priced at $449.95 I thought that perhaps it is something, someone does not already have, and might want.

It is also being offered on ebay...for the same price. I'd love to have it...but not at that price!

I found a copy (online) in the Dallas, TX public library. Might be something you could get thru interlibrary...perhaps with permission to copy, etc.

Considering the title for this collection includes the description, "with new and complete rules and exercises, and all necessary instructions to perfect the player in the art of playing the banjo : together with a large collection of popular music consisting of polkas, schottisches, waltzes, marches, quicksteps, songs, hornpipes, contra dances, cotillions, &c.," and considering that some of the other published works from Howe include this other music, you might be able to obtain all the songs listed in the New American Banjo School by following this link : http://archive.org/search.php?query=creator%3A%22Howe%2C+Elias%2C+1...
