I am just about to take my last banjo order.
I want to thank all of you for your support over the years. It has been a great ride.
I will still build, but from today on I will only take an order if I am truly intrigued by the request. There are still a few banjos I want to build and some period techniques I never really got a chance to explore. Some of these will be available from time to time, but I am going to take down my old website and concentrate on exploring new avenues of the building craft.
I hope that as I learn more I can post the information here for all of you to read. If I find anything earth shaking I will present it at an upcoming AEBG.
Thanks again to all of you for your support!

Well, I don't blame you, you reached perfection in your craft with my "Harriet," I don't see how you could top her. ; )
All Kidding aside, we that are lucky enough to get to be the caretakers of the art that has come from your hands, will try not to gloat too much... well, perhaps a little.
I'll be looking forward to seeing some of your future special projects. Could there be some early "silver rim" clad New York banjos?
As always, I'm a research fiend, so if I can be of service, you've got my info.
And please don't be a stranger.
God speed in your new endeavors!
Good luck, George. I hope to hear stories of your new adventures.

does our previous discussion count as a banjo order?!?!?!?!?!?!????????????????
let me know and put me out of my misery - i've been trying to figure out a time to visit you ever since we talked!
best of luck on your new endeavours....i eagerly await your reply...
George, That's really the end of an era for all of us. I've had two Wunderlich's in my "banjo lifetime," and enjoyed them very much. I'm grateful to you for your support and your good guidance during the lifespan of Little Bear Banjo Hospital in Arlington. You were always very encouraging. You do good work. Play hard,
Lew
Sorry to read this George! I've been out of commission for a while, haven't been to Clifftop for at least 5 years, and dropped in to read this!! I have your banjo #93 and was going to write you for a couple of set of strings.
