I got both nights for $192.45 at Super 8 through Reservations.com. Non-refundable though. Might get better rates by calling the hotel directly. Good luck!
Scott, you may want to cancel and check out Trivago. They have the rooms at $65 a night. Even with taxes added I think it would be less.
Alas, 'non-refundable.' I won't make the same mistake next year. Thanks though.
BTW: The $192.45 price includes tax, fees, &c.
Paul- the $111 is for: the $139 room but at the "advancePay/NoRefund/noCancelations price
The $109 looks like the $139 room but with the BanjoGroup $30 discount Mark was talking about.
Same room- the Standard room w/ 2 queen beds.
We need to find out if the Banjo Group discount booking of $109 is refundable in case one gets sick and has to cancel a few days before.
Mark,
Are there any new tunes outside of the old standards that you would suggest we work on?
Ok I just booked my room for friday and saturday nights at the Appomattox Inn, on the phone. They can apply the banjo group discount, and yes one can cancel up til about 24 hours before if you get sick and cant come.
You can ask to be situated near others in the group if possible.
Woo-hooooo!
Just sayin;... I'm real glad the date got changed to Sept. Last year, it was on the same weekend as the local University graduation... the whole town was booked up and the hotel rates were sky high for fri-sunday. This year it's costing me $200 LESS to stay the same 2 nights in Appomattox ...in a much nicer motel..all because it's not during that graduation weekend.
Hey Dave & Mark-
For those of us just with cars, without campsites...
will there be any place for us to safely stash our banjos during things like dinner break, concert, or presentations, etc? Or will we have to carry our instruments with us from morning til night? (leaving banjo in my car is not something I'd do... and no banjo jokes please)
