Wish I could be there... I miss you guys!
What she said! I still get antsy for the journey to Antietam this time of year, even though AEBG has been defunct for three years now. I miss all of you folks dearly.
I was having the same thought and got to poking around online. The challenge seems to be finding a barn to rent without all the attendant, predatory wedding industry trappings/pricing. (We don't need catering or a special cottage in which to put on wedding dresses!)
Somewhere like the area of Lancaster or Harrisburg PA would be sooo do-able for me, only a little over a 5 hour drive south.
I agree with Strum, Harrisburg is about 5 hours for me as well. I have friends in Michigan, but the timing on this one is just not there.
For those in Michigan, come see us at Greenfield Village this weekend! Elaine and I will be there all weekend (Saturday - Monday), and the concert on Saturday night should be a lot of fun.
This was an awesome evening. Tim and Al (and Timmy) were awesome, the crowd was really enthusiastic, and in the last set belted out the songs we were playing with us, including Old Dan Tucker, Oh Susanna, De Camptown Ladies, Lucy Long, Battle Cry of Freedom and Battle Hymn of the Republic.
