Minstrel Banjo

For enthusiasts of early banjo

Five years ago (when Abe was a mere 200 years old), I found this polka in the Levy Collection and tried laying down four tracks on a recently-acquired free multi-track program. It ended up being pretty raggedy, in part due to my own incompetence and in part due to my lap top not being able to handle the software efficiently. Last week for, Abe’s 205th, I tried to clean it up a bit and imported it into a Vegas, a movie-making program.

Nice work, Al.  Beautifully played!  Mr. Lincoln would be happy.

In the absence of maracas or shakers.  You can faintly hear it.
