Minstrel Banjo

For enthusiasts of early banjo

This is a short video showing my gourd banjo in its various stages of construction, accompanied by the finished product playing a tune. Jay Moschella made the banjo and took the pictures. I am playing "Harper's Jig", which is also found on my CD "The Grape Vine Twist".

 Beautiful sound and looks!

Thanks. This was one where there was an effort with good equipment to capture the sound and great properties of the instrument. I plan on doing another series of quality recordings this year.

Good to hear that!  Another CD, Tim?

No, not another CD, but rather a site dedicated to quality individual tracks to perchase ala carte. I have so much material I want to put up and have available.

Nice sound! I love gourd banjos anyway, but unlike too many I've heard, yours has a full, rich timbre.
