Great! Wonderful to have both authors of the latest books about the banjo at the same event - Laurent Dubois' "The Banjo" and Bob Carlin, who not only wrote "The Birth of the Banjo", with his new book coming out in June called "Banjo: An Illustrated History"! This will be a great opportunity to get your copy of these two new important books.

Won't make it this year but looking forward to future fests.

I told Cuff about this and he said "let's go!" But he is 21 and has the world by the tail. I'm 53 and am not at all so free. So I won't be able to go. Wish I could! I'd love to hang out with Bob Carlin.

We are planning on having a group tintype done as well! Maybe more are possible.

Is Cuff's military service over?

Comment by Carl Anderton on April 12, 2016 at 12:29pm
Yes. He passed on re-enlisting, an older and wiser man, and is learning the farrier trade.

Out of the Army but it sounds like he's training for the Cavalry.

53?   Pffft!- mere slip of a boy!   It'd be swell if you and the Cuff came...
