Event Description
This is the 14th year we've been putting on this small old-time music campout gathering near to Albany, New York. If you are in the area, this event could offer the possibility of a 'mini merry minstrel meetup'!
Anywhere between 100-200 old-time musicians gather to camp and play for the weekend...potluck in the old Dutch barn on Saturday evening, very friendly.
Though the main focus is old-time music, as you can see from the photos of past years, jamming takes various forms, and minstrel players are very welcome to join the fun! I'll be bringing my Bell Stichter minstrel banjo, and maybe a tambourine or a set of bones tucked in my sack too. Hope to see a few minstrel friends there!

If you're within 200 miles of Albany, this is definitely worth checking out - especially if you're into Old-Time. However since you're reading this you're also into Minstrel - so it would be great to see you there! You won't be alone!

Well, a wild wet time was had by all! Amazingly, despite the weather we had quite a few attendees, and everyone had a great time as long as we stayed bundled up!

There's a pic of Mara and me in there in the barn during the potluck, also of Mara and several other great banjo players testing out my new Bell "Strumelia Stichter" banjo...everyone wanted to know whose banjo it was, and they all thought it was an antique! ;D
