Unplugging

After a weekend of heavy electric stuff and processed sounds, it feels so good to sit down with this simple instrument again. ahhhh! That was the main attraction to this in the beginning...and still is. Just you, and the instrument...and the sounds you make.

Yes, perhaps I'm just getting old, but I'm sitting there in silence waiting for the bride to step out, plugged into my guitar synthesizer....all by myself, and I'm thinking about how many things can screw up electronically ....outside of my playing. I like it when it depends only upon how you play an acoustic fretless banjo...and perhaps a broken string ( which never happens anyway ).
