Greetings from the UK

I will be going to Gatlinburg for 10 days at the beginning of September 2017. Please could someone tell me if there are any minstrel banjo related things I should see/visit.

The Rockbridge Music Festival Buena Vista, Va is on the weekend of 7-9 Sept.  Mostly old time, but there may likely be some Minstrel players there too.  It's about a 5 hr. drive (all motorway) from Gatlinburg.  I plan on going this year.  Let me know if you are interested and need more information.

Thanks Scott. 5 hours is probably too far as I'm travelling with 3 other people for whom the banjo is not quite the attraction it is for me and the folks on here.

There aren't too many banjo players in the Uk and even fewer playing minstrel music.

What part of the UK? I lived for awhile in Bedford.

I live in Southend, Essex. Pretty much the driest part of the UK but abanjo desert!
