Minstrel Banjo

For enthusiasts of early banjo

I briefly played Dave Wooldridge's 4 string at APX and have concluded that I must obtain one of my very own. Suggestions regarding sources, vendors, &c. will be appreciated.

Many thanks  -Scott

Scott, you may give a holler to Jay Moschella who I worked with on for that one you played. I love Pete's work too. He made the one we have on exhibit at the slave quarters of the McLean house.

Jeff Menzies also makes beautiful, nice sounding gourd banjos.

Pete Ross is and Jeff Menzies are good recommendations.  I think Terry Bell makes one as well.  I've heard good things about Jay Moschella's, but have never handled one.  My recommendation is to make one.  In doing so you can learn a lot about the instruments.

Dave, I covet your banjo, how would I contact Jay?

Dave, I found Jay's web page and will contact him.

Many Thanks,
