Tuning

Ok I'm new and stupid,when tuning nylagut strings. Are all the strings in the same octave or is 3&4 a octave below. I'm new to computers also not sure if I'm doing this right.

Mark, in standard tuning, if you were to start on the low string(4), and play it open, one octave would end on the first fret on the 2nd string. In raised bass tuning they do all end up being in the same octave.
