Minstrel Banjo

For enthusiasts of early banjo

Yikes! Another non-banjo posting by me! I don't know anything about this video game but thought it was interested that it recreated the Pry House & barn. It's a very short snippet at about 7 minutes and 13 seconds.

What?!?  I didn't write what appears on the main site!  Only what appears once you click on it.

This is really interesting. Can't wait for the game to be released.

Again, I was not advocating the game one way or the other.  I just found it interesting that they recreated the Pry House and barn at 7 minutes, 13 seconds.

As a Civil War reenactor I am interested in how accurate their depection of the landmarks, like the Pry house and bar will be.  Especially since they plan on these being active locations you can enter and not just view from the outside.  I wonder if they need any banjo pickers for their sound track music?  Anyway thanks for the post Al.

I meant barn, not bar.  Freudian slip?

Tom, I don't know if you are familiar with "Empire: Total War" or not.  I play single battles on occasion and, not being a reenactor, do not know how accurate it is.  If you are not familiar with it, here is one of many battles that can be found on YouTube.

The battle, here, begins at about 4 minutes.  Battles are just a part of the full game.

I asked Jake from the NMCWM about this and he said that they had met with the game developers, so apparently they did some homework.
