Minstrel Banjo

For enthusiasts of early banjo

From Kerr's Merry Melodies Vol 1. Adapted to Minstrel banjo from fiddle music. My own interpretation.

Soothing to my ears.

What wonderful sounding banjo are you playing and is it a 12 pot?

Yes Dan'l I too heard a little Japanese/koto like flavor in it.

Rubato pentatonic phrases.......without harmony, and some ringing overtones hanging around.

Who is the maker of the banjo? Just curious as I will never master a fretted banjo let alone a fretless. But it is a fine sounding instrument and the name of the maker who crafted it would be appreciated.

None other than our own Terry Bell. I love the instrument.

Tis a beauty.  A big pat on the back to Terry. Hopefully he has a site...and I will see his other beauties.
