Minstrel Banjo

For enthusiasts of early banjo

What with all these Old Joes flying around I figured I should include the first version of 'Old Joe' I ever heard, from Bob Winans & co's seminal album 'The Early Minstrel Show'.

Ironically, a friend of mine, Matt Heumann, a concertina player who played tambo on Early Minstrel Show, sent me a photo this morning of Vinnie Tufo, the fiddle player on Early Minstrel Show.

He stumbled upon the photo in Hour Magazine with the caption, "Fairgate Farm manager Bill Callion and Vincent Tufo, CEO, Charter Oak Communities. In Conjunction with Stamford Hospital and Charter Oak, Fairgate Farm plans to educate children in Stamford and effect healthy change in the East Side Community. Hour photo"  Vincent is on the right.
