Jeff Menzies #253 tackhead tuned dGDGA.
I don't hear this one played as often as I would expect. Could this be because of the non-standard tuning?

So where did you find this notation or tab that indicates this tuning, Scott?
Hmm?
Well.., good question Lisa? Honestly I really don't remember the source, it just kind of worked out that way I guess. That said, I'm reasonably confident that I found it somewhere online because you know my weakness with keys, notation, and "tunnings". Banjo Hangout maybe? Sorry I can't be more precise.
Missed you at APX this year and hope all is well with you.
All the best!
-Scott
Here are a couple versions I have found on the internet:

Hope this helps
Scot - give this one a try from the Buckley '68 (high bass): http://minstrelbanjo.ning.com/video/jubilee-1
(Or low bass if you wish, the 4th string 2nd fret is easy to fret...)
Many thanks Paul. I'll take your advice.
