Minstrel Banjo

For enthusiasts of early banjo

One of the haunting melodies I harvested on my trip to Michigan's Upper Peninsula. This song was played in the old furnace chamber at Fayette, which was a 19th Century "company town" on the shore of Lake Michigan, which produced and shipped pig iron. It existed from about 1865 to 1880. Much of the town and its buildings are still standing, and preserved as a Sate Park in Michigan. An amazing place.
