-the very beginning version you did makes me think of Boil Dem Cabbage...maybe that's where it came from?

It's awesome how a super simple melody can be worked into so many different effects.

Yeah spent a major portion of Saturday and Sunday delving into the yellow book. I recall being apprehensive about it at first but it's is a great book full of great tunes.

Once I'm in the zone all the thumb use creates this catapult like effect up and down the strings. It really made use of the thumb click for me. The tabs also helped considerably since the instruction tends to get in the way a bit.

My favorite tutors are Briggs, Rice, and the Little Yellow.   :)
