I built this little pedestal bench on my property a couple of months ago, on a small creek and next to a crop field. A nice place to play banjo. After returning from an extended motorcycle trip, I walked back to the site and was stunned to see my little bench about 60 yds. In the soy bean field. Cynically, I thought someone was messing with me; realistically, we had a heck of a rain. Still in one piece, I replanted the bench.
A new lesson for an old dog. Sink it deeper, move to higher ground, or just play banjo and hope the "creek don't rise"

Very nice Sonny. Is that a Bell banjo you are playing? you still plan to be at Appomattox?

Hey Scott, it's a Jay Moschella banjo. I do have one of Terry's, it's a grain painted Boucher. I'm looking forward to Appomattox and have room in the A frame if anyone needs shelter.

Nice work Sonny.  What a lovely spot to play, too!    :)
