I wonder why this tune gets skipped over. I do not see many people do it.

They hated that answer...but it worked! Maybe people get bored playing SJ because their playing is boring and they need to find something interesting in it. lol!

Some people expect entertainment to be served up for them.

Comment by Scott Danneker on March 24, 2014 at 3:24pm: I keep my mountain banjo tuned to D. I play Soldier's Joy on that because I don't have to re-tune to D because it's already there! I don't play Soldiers Joy on my tack head because it's tuned to G and that means that I would have to re-tune to D which is a real pain in the bottom, especially after a few glasses of merlot. That said; I can play Angeline the Baker on both of them because I can play that tune in both G and D. Huzzah!
