The one on the Internet Archive is a later version of the same title - 1870. This one you've posted seems to have a lot more American and minstrel-type tunes in it. I have another very similar book at home from the 1880s "Howe's Diamond School for the Violin". When I was taking up fiddle I actually found it to be as good as any other instructor I had for teaching the basics. I used it quite a lot.
