Wow!   Is this the highest res scan available?   You can actually read a whole lot of that tiny stuff!  And looks lik ea gourd banjo.

Yes Paul,

After many storms and wanderings of life, I found a temporary asylum in this remote Kentucky cell.
(name), 1818

Also, the bird is flying with "The Castle in the Moon".

Looks like a dipper/drinking gourd instrument...a fiddle or banjo
