Thanks, everyone. Only regret I didn't have a banjo to play in the shot. ;-) Sadly, I quit my music lessons after my clarinet instructor committed suicide in 1961. True story! And I was pretty good! Clarification: The photographer for this shot was Claude Levet, not John Coffer. Both have done excellent work. Daniel, I too would love to know what clues you found.

I'd say that is astute of you, Daniel. In fact, 125th Spotsylvania was my first event as a trooper, though the sack coat had been used in service of my infantry portrayal, and the carbine and saber were well-used also. The boots were custom-made for me by Greg Connell.
