Minstrel Banjo

For enthusiasts of early banjo

I'm in process of learning the finer points of minstrel banjo. However, I am unble to find software that will let me do so. I'm working with Windows Vista. After initial loading I eventually get "error message-try again". I would like a video library from which to view along with tablature.
Thanks!

Hello John!

I appreciate your welcoming of me joining the Minstrel Banjo community. I'm really having fun with it!

The videos come in loud and clear! I've downloaded and tried a couple software programs, but Windows doesn't respond favoribly. I "right click favorites" and dowload to "documents". They play from HD and CD, but after about one day I get an "error message" to "try again later".
I'm not sure what kind of software you are trying to load. With regards to tablature, most of the people on this site that I have talked to about this issue swear by TablEdit (http://www.tabledit.com/). Personally, I use a copy of Finale for most of my music scoring neeeds.

For audio playback and editing I am really happy with Audacity (http://audacity.sourceforge.net/)

John....

I use Finale....a great program for doing scores.

I had downloaded "AVS Video Converter" and "Biennesoft YOU TUBE Downloader".

Meanwhile I will take a look at Audacity
